Guest guest
Yes I have seen the situation where the digestion is effected in this way. Add hydrochloric acid to the digestive enzymes and review his diet to take out some gas forming foods for awhile. Keep enzyme the same per meal but increase the HCL per meal until he gets heartburn from it. Tums can come in handy here. Then back off by at least half the HCL amount. Stay there for a week or so and rechallenge the HCL. The goal is to get good strong HCL back into the stomach. He need a zinc tally test. Likely he is deficient in B1 and zinc-these are the rate limiting factors in HCL production. I have a handout I can send you if you like. Whittaker digestive enzymes and gas:Q Hi all,So I have a patient claiming his gas is WORSE withdigestive enzymes. Has anyone else ever had this? Anythoughts as to why this would be so?Thanks in advance.__________________________________________________________Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
