I cook and my husband does the dishes. It took awhile to break him because I

believe his late wife had spoiled him. Anyway financially we have no option

but to eat at home so I said I will manage to cook something even if it is

just canned chili and hot dogs if you will do the dishes. This has been

working quite well for us now for over 2 years. Sometimes family job

descriptions have to changed a little bit.

Hi W.:

I just read your message about your situation with your husband. I don't have

the energy plus I'm in constant pain and have no more appetite but my husband is

mad as hell that I don't cook as much as I used to plus I'm always behind in

laundry and housework. My husband has never had to do any housework as he was

career Navy and as an officer had an aide-de-camp who did everything for him.

His first wife also did everything for him, too. My do-everything days are

getting shorter as my diseases progress but he sees only one thing - himself.

He has been trying to get me to move out for weeks now, but my doctor says no

way due to my physical condition. To say I'm scared is an understatement but I

try to hang in there and I see a therapist once a week who helps me to cope with

it all.
