Guest guest
In response to your letter to , it sounds much like the same one I wrote when he joined. I too was an RN since 1985. For many of you, this is repeat info, so feel free to delete. In 1993, I injured my back, on top of preexisting osteoarthritis. After 2 unsuccessful surgeries, including a fusion. Anyway, all the post op physical therapy blew out the last of the cartilage in my knees, that already had bad arthritis. After a dozen or so knee surgeries, I had both knees totally replaced.....more unsuccessful surgery. I seem to develop gross amounts of scar tissue, and that causes more pain. I cannot fully straighten or bend my legs, and the scar tissue in my back keeps wrapping itself around the nerve roots. I go for injections (the injections are a combination of meds that are supposed to dissolve the scar tissue) and blocks in my back, but I don't get much relief. Sorry, didn't mean to write a novel here, lol. Best wishes to everyone for a Happy New year, one as pain free as possible. Janie in NC << ...your back problems sound so much like my own and I was a RN also....May I ask how old you are and what are your diagnosis? Don't mean to be nosy....just I thought you were describing my own symptoms in your letter to Norma. >>
