You have asked the million-dollar question! We are meeting some big

kefir-heads recently and we are only new to it ourselves so I should

let others expound eloquently but it is basically fermented milk.

If you find anyone that has grains this is a really easy way to get

started. If you use a powdered starter you will constantly be buying

replacement starter.
