Guest guest
Oh Thank You for replying, your response has greatly helped me in more ways than one. Our new ins. won't help pay for any of the aplraz & diaz, so I'm at a loss as to what can replace them. AND I DO NEED THEM. they help pay for partial cost but the numbers are still on the high side. I've been seaching the " Meds " pages to see what might come close. He'd previously put me on 80 mgs oxycontin 2 bid, but I stopped taking it due to the cost. Now I see it's on the approved list along with aceta #4 w/codiene. (the one medication that works best for my pain. Butalbital is an old drug and I know it works, but I think it has asprin included also. Something for anxiety and panic attacks, or I could just use all my disability on medication, we're about there now anyway. I'm going to ask for the " combo pak " you're taking and see if he'll agree with that. I've had Fentanyl patches also but the itching drove me crazy. I found this post and didn't know if you knew the differences between the two. To make matters worse, I've put on about 50 lbs due to the mix up in paper work at the old ins co. couldn't get any meds, pondered suicide but it's against my religion. Along with the fact I'm still waiting for my first grandbaby and it looks like one may be coming next year. What’s the difference between Percocet and OxyContin? Both Percocet and OxyContin relieve pain, but while Percocet gives relief for about five hours, the effects of OxyContin last for about 12 hours. Percocet contains five milligrams of oxycodone, which is all released when the pill is taken. Percocet also contains acetaminophen (the drug in Tylenol), which makes people sick if they take a lot of it. OxyContin doesn’t contain acetaminophen. It is pure oxycodone in amounts much larger than in Percocet. In Canada, OxyContin pills come with 10, 20, 40 or 80 mg of oxycodone. Just one OxyContin pill can have the same amount of oxycodone as 16 Percocet pills. The reason oxycontin doesn't work as well for me is because it needs the asprin or tylenol to kick start the effectivness. My physcian had also given me a local fill of the ty #4 for break through pain. Morphine is something ...I don't think I've had. Only when I had gallbladder surgery and was put on a pump after surgery, but was having hallucinations and begged to be taken off. Things to ponder...You must be in as much pain as I am, along with the Chronic Fatigue and the list below. Thank you for sharing, I'm sorry this was so long, May God Speed be with us Both. Please email me anytime. Sincerely, ----- Original Message ----- From: THERESA Wow we could be twins, we have the same exact dx. My dr. put me on morphine extended release twice a day and percocet 10/325 for breakthrough pain up to 4 times a day, this has lowered my pain levels to something more manageable, still can't work or do housework but at least I'm not in bed crying and throwing up all day.
