Hi,

My name is and I live in Bristol, Tennessee. I have had raw milk before but I have been unable to find any local. I am hoping there may be someone here that can point me in a direction for raw milk.

I am a stay at home mom of 3, married, and in college.

Hi ,

I'm about an hour from the NC state line, I would think about 5 hours

from you . My neighbors are from Nashville and i think it takes them

about 5 hours to get there.

me?

Hi ,

I'm also new to the newsgroup, and read with interest your quest to

embrace the truth and make better choices. Pleased to see that you

can easily find at least some organic pasteurized milk...I was

excited to find goat's milk at WalMart! (Meyenberg brand,

pasteurized, in quart carton).

Until we both can get access to some fresh cow or goat milk, this

is probably the best we can do for now. I would like to suggest

that you consider the benefits of goat milk vs. cow milk for your

family also. You can probably find some info at the website

www.meyenberg.com.

I'm going to go off topic to respond personally to your

introduction of yourself, so I apologize if other newsgroup members

do not appreciate all of the following info...BUT I hope it blesses

you and anybody else who care to read it...here it goes...

I also read with interest that you yourself have been suffering

with candida overgrowth. Have you ever researched or considered the

benefits of kefir? LOTS more probiotic benefits from making your

own kefir from grains that you can get from others willing to share

for free...

I would also like to refer you to consider a product called Fungal

Defense, produced from whole organic foods by the Garden of Life

company. www.gardenoflifeusa.com If I remember correctly, the main

ingredient is oregano oil, which has been proven to be very

effective for controling candida overgrowth. The other marvelous

product that they produce is called Primal Defense, which is a

combination of various probiotic organisms that can be taken in

caplet or powder form. You can probably find some interesting

testimonials for these products at www.crohns.net.

One final suggestion regarding you sinus infections...have you

ever heard of a neti pot? I have found the practice of using a neti

pot for the sinuses EXTREMELY comforting and helpful for " bogged up

and dirty " sinus problems. The idea is to use the pot to direct

warm, slightly salted water into the sinus cavities (you can still

breathe through the nose while you do this) by inserting the spout

of the pot in one nostril, leaning over a sink and letting gravity

bring the saline solution through the nasal cavity and out the other

nostril...

I know, I know...sounds like it would be torture and a gagging

experience, but trust me, once you get over the surprise that you

have got water up your nose (hey, it doesn't burn because of the

soothing salt!) and you are not drowning, choking, dying...you can

relax and actually enjoy the soothing warmth and wetness that your

dried up congested sinuses have needed for so long. Keeping the

sinuses moist by using often throughout the day will help to soften

and loosen guck stuck up in your sinsuses for YEARS enough that you

can sneeze and blow it out. I've heard acquaintances testify that

weird colored stuff that must have been dried blood, infected

compacted guck came out painlessly, restoring smell and taste better

than ever.

Finally, welcome the milk group. Check out the kefir_making group

if you'd like to learn more about kefir and to find somebody to give

you some grains to make your own if you'd like to try this.
