Welcome, Kathy! I think you'll love it here. There are so many

great, supportive people who post here. Isn't fun to conquer the

moves and find that you are strong and graceful. You will love BL2.

It is a fun tape.

Thank you to all that welcomed me and thanks for the website. It's so nice

to have someone to talk to that understands the " Taebo " way. I have yet

to meet someone at work or in the family that does Taebo, so it will be

great to share.

Welcome, ! Wow, you started your wife on the live basic. That

is

a hard tape. I think of it as a 30-minute advanced tape because of

the speed and complexity of moves. It is one of the hardest, if not

the hardest, of all the basic live tapes that I have (BL1, BL2,

BL7, and the live 4-pack). Pass that information on to your wife. A

woman who posts here is on the basic live tape -- . That's

why

we call that tape the basic. She is tall and has a blond

pony tail and is wearing black pants with a white stripe down the

side

and a short black top. They show close ups of her doing the speed

bag, the fly, and some other moves. On the live advanced, she is

wearing a big yellow taebo tshirt and they show a close up of her

doing the in-and-out move when tries to get her to count. You

can see pictures of and of many of us at our web site

(http://taeboon.isportsdot.com/) under Picture Gallery and Meet the

Members.

Shelia,

Welcome to the group and good luck on your tae-bo journey! You will

definitely develop muscle doing tae-bo. I have always been active.

I used to run and lift weights, but I have never gotten as toned as I

am now, which came from only doing tae-bo. Did you get the original

4-pack or the live 4-pack? My advice for the basic workout is to

take it at your own pace and really try to concentrate on using the

proper form! You really work your muscles when you concentrate on

what you are doing and perform the moves correctly. Don't try to

keep up with the pace at first if it seems like it's moving too

fast. Sometimes gets a little carried away....LOL! And don't

be afraid to hit pause and walk it out for a little bit if you get

too winded. Also, don't be afraid to keep going back to the

instructional tape to make sure you've got the proper form...or ask

us here if you have any questions! Good luck! I can't wait to hear

what you think!

I did my first workout yesterday, using the basic tape! I got the

original 4 series, since they were a good deal where I got them

(only 25.00 shipped!).

I didn't really feel like I was working out while I actually was,

you know, I felt more like I was dancing. But when I was done, I

sure felt it! I haven't sweated so much in so long, I can't even

remember, and I was in the Army for several years! I really think

this is going to work for me, I love it.

Shelia,

Congratulations on getting through your 1st basic tae-bo workout!

You're on your way! You're right...it really is an incredible

workout! I drip with sweat whenever I do a workout....you don't want

to be standing in front of me when I'm punching because the sweat

just flings right off of me...LOL!

  • 3 years later...

Here's my family's raw milk anecdote:

My mother was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1917. Apparently as an infant, she had digestion problems. One night, she was near death, and the country doctor gave her a bit of whiskey just to rev up her heart enough to keep her alive for the night. The doctor then told my grandfather to find a farmer the next day. The doctor recommended that my mom be fed raw milk from a cow that had just given birth and keep her on that same milk for months. My mom later actually spent 18 months being raised by her grandparents on their farm in Illinois just so she could keep drinking raw milk. My mom lived to be 82 years old.

It's amazing how much more this story means to me now that I've learned so much about raw milk from this list and the research of Dr. Weston Price and Dr. Pottenger. (Dr. Pottenger studied the effect of raw meat and raw milk on the health of cats.)

Hello All!

Thank you for allowing me to join your group.

My name is Tonya Hersh, and I live in Granbury, Texas. I have been consuming raw milk for only a few months, and it is so nice to be a dairy consumer again! I gave up dairy alltogether when I learned of the dangers of pasteurization.

I began with raw goat milk, and just recently switched to raw cow's milk. We also buy cheese, cream, and whey.

I am looking forward to learning how to make raw butter and how to incorporate the raw dairy products into daily recipes. My 16 month old isn't a big milk drinker (she's not weaned yet but we are desperately trying), so I'm looking forward to learning of alternative ways to get the raw dairy products into her diet.

Thanks again, and I look forward to " meeting " each of you!

Hello Tonya,

Good to see you here on Raw Dairy. I have a friend in Granbury, She used to have goats, Mrs. Carl s. I consume lots of raw goats milk, but since they are dry, I am using Jersey milk. Yumm.

I also know that whatever you put on your skin, goes into your body, so I make home made Milk soap.

Welcome, and I hope to see you posting.
