Hi all,

I am the Lead Behavior Analyst for the PA Verbal Behavior Project.

Currently, we have 57 public school autism classrooms participating in the

Project.

Model site programs receive: 1) Training in ABA/VB, 2) some materials such as

Language Builder Cards, ABLLS books, and DI materials and 3) on-site weekly

guided practice from BCBA's or those pursuing certification.

We will have some nice data and videos to show at the ABA conference in

Chicago this May. It is a wonderful collaborative Project with a parent support

group (SAFE) as the lead agency overseeing the grant. The PA VB Project is

funded by a large grant from the PA Dept of Education.

My son, age 8, is in one of the model VB classrooms and I am very pleased

with the Project....both as a parent and professional. One third of SAFE's 30

Verbal Behavior consultants are parents of children with autism who have become

professionals in the field.

For more info, contact me via email at MLBarbera@... or Debi Namey, PA

Project Administrator at 1-877-510-SAFE, extension 1.
