Guest guest
Hello, Our parent group here in Ann Arbor is trying to do some benchmarking on school systems where they are doing ABA in the schools, either in self-contained classrooms 1-1, but also using behaviorally based teaching in inclusion too. I am not looking so much for programs where a school is simply paying to send a child to a private ABA program, but ones where they are actually doing the ABA in the public school system. It can be school employees doing it (they have hired behavioral analsysts and BCBAs) or contracting with an outside provider, but still doing it in the school system -- for example, Ron Leaf gave a talk and mentioned Autism Partnership was overseeing the implementation of ABA in the Las Vegas school system (this was a couple of years ago). Examples I know of -- Fairfax County VA, St. Louis MO, several districts in Mass & PA, etc. So, please if anyone can tell me names of the public school systems or districts doing this and any related info you might have, that would be great. Please email me directly if you want to, so we don't clog the lists. Barb Byers Ann Arbor MI
