Guest guest
Hi. My name is Jeff Spaetzel. I am excited to announce that on April 17, 2005, Adam Dabrowski (a fellow co-worker of mine) and I will start a 2,400-mile bicycle journey across America from Los Angeles to Chicago. Our mission is to bring autism into the national spotlight, provide hope and inspiration to everyone touched by autism, and raise $100,000 to help fund research for a cure. Our $100,000 fundraising goal represents the financial burden autism puts on families; the 2,400 mile ride represents the distances many families travel to get help; and two riders as opposed to a group represent the isolation and lack of support for those with autism. I have an eight year-old daughter, Amber, who was diagnosed on the autism spectrum in December, 2000, and is the inspiration behind the ride. We would like to dedicate this project not only to her, but also to you, your family, and every person touched by an Autism Spectrum Disorder. We invite you to learn more about our project or how you can participate in our project by helping us make our way across America, by visiting our website at http://www.pedal4acure.org Our ride will pass through the following 9 states: So. California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois. In February we will send out another update along with an invitation to ride with us along any part of our route so please stay tuned. We apologize if you have already received notice of the event but want to make sure we get the word out. Thank you!!
