When I get tired my vision is impaired also! At that times, I can't read or work

on laptop , even watching tv is hard work. Mind you if I sit to watch tv these

days I usually fall asleep. It drives my kids barmy lol.

My feeling is that the specialist couldn't find a definite answer so he had to

come up with something rather than let me go without any kind of diagnosis!! If

that's the case it's a disgrace for the people who do have it. I'm not saying I

may not have CFS but there does seem to be something else there too.

In that book I mentioned, thyroid problems were mentioned. I already have been

taking thyroxine for many years. About 5 years ago I became unwell, I had a load

of tests done, which showed nothing. GP increased my thyroxine and 3 weeks later

I started to feel much better. My GP said it proved that tests can sometimes be

unreliable and that my baseline must be different from others. I had been tested

for thyroid problems for about 10 years before I was given thyroxine. The GP

thought all the time I showed borderline tests, I was probably requiring

thyroxine. I can't believe I had forgotten about all that until yesterday!!!

Next week I will speak to my new GP about this. Unfortunately my old one retired

Anyone else out there had similar problems?

Regards Helen

i vision has gotten bad the last few yrs and im not sure if its the cfs or my

ms symtems i think it must be from the cfs , because my ms is almost never

flared up , except when im real stressed , i think it was from not getting

enough b vits esprecially b 12, because once i started to take the suppliments

the symptums went away. i still find it hard to read at night my vision gets

blurry ,maybe i need glasses but it happened pretty quick

Are you perhaps Narcoleptic? The sleeping syndrome in some folks term. My mother

was born with Narcolepsy and you sound like she gets, it took a specialist to

diagnose a brain wave tracing as Narcolepsy. This tracing is usually similar to

an epileptics brain waves but there is a difference there.

The way I am affected by my fatigue, I don't think I want to go there just yet.

Hope this helps

Craigievar - yes that is the name of the castle and grounds it is gorgeous there

and it took 2 days to drive each way since I moved down to Dorset almost 3 Years

ago. I was born in Glasgow and grew up in Eastern Renfrewshire just on the

outskirts of the South of the City, it was farming land back then and I still

love the Rouken Glen Park used to walk my family dog then as I grew older my own

dogs through the grounds. Then I moved to Cumbernauld and when my life went

belly up I moved down here to Dorset, it gets waaay too hot for my liking down

here lol I still return to Scotland often.
