## Yes but it turns out that getting a pet food dealer's license is convoluted

and there are a lot of restrictions. It is however relatively simple to get a

license to sell feed.

And there are some labeling requirements but nothing too onerous.

## No, the thing to do is to forget the 'pet' products totally in Georgia. That

is harder and puts the supplier under a lot more scrutiny. They need to go with

the license to supply for livestock--feed dealer. And Lynn they do have all

this info. I forwared to them all the links and research has done.

## Yes for pets, no for feed dealers. There is one person in the state of

Georiga whose job it is to inspect livestock feed dealers and he has to inspect

feed stores, grain cilos (sp?), processors etc.

There are people in 's general area who have been selling raw dairy since

the 1970s under the livestock license who have never heard from the state. The

state wants their $50.00.

And the buren of the seller is to have the license and to label it correctly.

They do not have the burden of insuring that the person buying it is using it

according to the label's instructions.

## the rest is that it must say for 'livestock consumption' and NOT say 'for pet

consumption'. The suggestions made (which the suppliers we are discussing have)

are the label say 'for use with ferrets, orphaned herbivores, pigs, chickens).

They must also send a sample of their milk to a lab which sends back a fat etc

analysis same as you would see on any bag of feed and that must be on the label

as well.

has designed a label for his customers buying for their livestock. I

don't know if this list takes attachments but if it does he might be able to

post it here.

I would not stress too much Lynn. I think we in Georgia are perhaps a bit

luckier than some other states. This is really very simple.
