I am in Houston, otherwise I would recommend a couple neurologists for you. Best of luck and best wishes in finding someone who will help your daughter! Let me know if you need anything.

I’d be

glad for neurologist names, even in Houston. We’ve nearly exhausted our

options here, I believe.

My mom sees Dr. Pinky Tiwari on Fannin...she has some severe neurological issues which I can't pronounce or spell. She has flown to Washington and Florida to see drs. and have surgery and really likes Dr. Tiwari.

I asked Launius for some neurologists that they use.

Texas Neurology Consultants2800 N. Dallas Parkway, Suite 210Plano 75093http://www.texasneurologyconsultants.com/ and I have both worked with Dr. Hopson and Dr. Hurd. There is another doctor with them now but she is new since we knew them. This is the group to which we refer. I looked through a couple of charts and all they did from a thyroid standpoint was note they were hypothyroid and on Armour. Van Ness, MDUT Southwestern, Aston Bldg.5303 Harry Hines Blvd.4th floor, Suite 100Dallas 75390http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/patientcare/doctor/findphysician/profile/0,0,17535_Dr__Van%20Ness_MD,00.htmlHe only does epilepsy and will only take patients on referral so they need a doctor to do that. The note from him also just noted hypothyroid on Armour. So they probably won't manage the hypothyroidism but won't interfere with whoever does.I can't find the female neurologist's name but have emailed the rep that gave it to me. >> I'd be glad for neurologist names, even in Houston. Both neurologists that I was going to suggest do not treat children. One did make a referral to a pediactric neurologist in the same office building, but I know nothing about him and don't feel comfortable suggesting someone without any knowledge, especially since it's in Houston and would require you to travel.

My

daughter is 20, but as I understand it, a pediatric neurologist is an

additional specialty to regular neurology, so I think she should be able to see

either a ped neuro, or a regular one. I am really appreciative of all solid

suggestions, as we truly have no good options here. I am on other NTexas lines,

and it seems that we’ve seen the ones who are “good”, but nobody is thrilled

with them at all, including us.

The more names, the better. I will pursue

them.

Here are more neurologists from Launius.

Response below regarding more neurologists. Dr. Combs-Cantrell is the one I was thinking of when I emailed you the first time. Let me know what happens with the patient.
