Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just wanted to share something I think is really cool and could be very helpful for some of our kids. For those of you who have the Nintendo Gamecube system the new game " Party 6 " has a feature in which the child has to give directions to their character into a microphone. The child has to speak clearly and quickly in order to get their character to win the little mini games. Instructions are given as to what they could/should say (the main word is in bold so it stands out). So when my son plays this part of the game he has to read, has to comprehend what he reads, he has to evaluate his character's situation, then he has to state the direction into the microphone in a clear voice with a good volume. The character then moves according to what my son says, or doesn't move if he's not clear enough, or not loud enough. Since my son has difficulty with language, reading comprehension, speed of response and volume issues, I just think this game may be a way to practice many of these skills. I'm going to be watching him closely to see if this helps him in any of his language, or other areas. I thought other people might be interested in this.
