Guest guest
LOL!!! Thank you! Thank you for posting this!! I too have to go to the bathroom a lot too! Unfortunately it is usually in the middle of my workout and just how you described! I get up at 5:15a and need to get right to my work out. I have tried walking around for 5 or 10 minutes hoping I could get the bathroom stuff out of the way before my workout but nope! Always right in the middle!! So, I guess it is not just you two! :-) Cristi c2w1d3 have any of you noticed??? > Since starting this program, DH and I have both, um.... er.... > noticed..... ah..... well, we've been going to the bathroom A LOT! > (and I'm not talking water here!) > > It's not as though I've been eating that much more roughage or > anything like that - I've always been a big vegetable eater. > > Been having some stomach cramps and stuff too - feels like a good ol' > stomach flu. I thought most people target 40% carbs. I could be wrong here. But I think I am lower on the carbs end and I still experience it too. Maybe the type of carbs we eat? :-) Cristi c2w1d3
Guest guest
Handy, I don't remember having that problem (if it's really a problem) in the beginning, but I just finished my 1st challenge. I am in my " off " week now and I can't stay out of the bathroom. I think my body is rebelling and trying to rid itself of the the foods that I have not been eating for the past 12 weeks. Guest guest
I noticed that too. Whenever I eats an unauthorized meal, my body want to get rid of it in a hurry. Guest guest
in all honesty, you should take one week off every 6-9 weeks of intense weight training so the body can recovery from what is has been put through (numerous studies out there on the power of recovery, if you do some searching I am sure you will find them). but since BFL is a 12 week program then take one off at the end of the program. bill > > > Since starting this program, DH and I have both, um.... er.... > > > noticed..... ah..... well, we've been going to the bathroom A > LOT! > > > (and I'm not talking water here!) > > > > > > It's not as though I've been eating that much more roughage or > > > anything like that - I've always been a big vegetable eater. > > > > > > Been having some stomach cramps and stuff too - feels like a good > > ol' > > > stomach flu. Guest guest
Are you taking Betagen? Creatine can cause a little gas, stomach cramps, and for things to " move along " at times. I got pretty sick and had to leave it alone all together but most people don't find those symptoms last at all. from: http://www.greencanyon.com/products/r100021.htm While there are no negative complications reported in the medical literature on creatine monohydrate supplementation, some users have experienced minor side effects. No toxicity reports have been noted, nor side effects reported that warranted discontinuation of supplementation. The most common side effect has been mild diarrhea, but usually this is experienced when loading or maintenance doses exceed 5 grams. Occasionally, gas or flatulence, upset stomach, and stomach cramps have been reported. Guest guest
I'll have to check the label on the shakes we are drinking. DH bought it so I havent even looked at it to be truthful. It does say " meal replacement " on it - I'll take a closer look. DH thought it could be the shakes too..... thank you for the info. And thanks Bill for the other info - I didnt know that (I'm SO new at this stuff - I've never lifted weights before in my entire life!!) Guest guest
Handy, Yep, you are suppose to take at least one week off after 12 weeks. This prevents overtraining. I am not enjoying my week off. I liked the planning and routine that I got into on the BFL program. I went to the gym this morning - I just couldn't help it. I was planning to only do about 20 minutes of light to moderate cardio, but before you know it, I had done 20 minutes of HIIT. Some habits are hard to break!
