Guest guest
Hello, Does anyone know how to get a test done of the type of beta casein in the milk we are drinking? I started to think about the issue after reading articles that link consuming A1 beta casein milk with increased risk of developing juvenile diabetes. This is one article with some research results. http://www.findarticles.com/cf_dls/m0950/4_106/66665096/p1/article.jh tml There are more sensational articles from the New Zealand press, since there is a company marketing " A2 " milk and the regular dairies are litigating. Searching on " A2 beta casein " brings up lots of these stories. My brother has been diabetic since childhood so my children (3 and 5) are at higher risk than average of developing the disease. We drink a lot of milk from a farmer who does not know what kind of milk his cows produce. Is there a way he could get his cows tested or is there was a way I could send a sample of the milk to a lab? Does anyone know? Do people think, as the farmer thinks, that I shouldn't worry about it? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
