Guest guest
Hello, Affirmation Members and Friends, I wanted to write and let you guys know that I'm still alive and kicking, but have been having health problems this summer that have kept me away from the group. First off, I have a frozen right shoulder which makes it very hard for me to type and be on the computer. I may need to have surgery done on it, but am trying to postpone it awhile. Last November, I had surgery on my left shoulder that was frozen, and it needed 3 months of physical therapy after the surgery. Secondly, I had a cancer scare regarding my thyroid that turned out to NOT BE cancer!!! Thirdly, I AM dealing with skin cancer on my face and have already had one biopsy of it. I am going in for major surgery next Wednesday, August 26th to remove the rest of the skin on the face that has squamous cell cancer. Hopefully, on Thursday, August 27th, I will go in for reconstructive facial surgery to get grafts done to repair my face. Prayers would be most appreciated!!! Therefore, I will be out and unavailable most of next week. I will try to be more active in the group during September if at all possible. I miss all of you, pray for you regularly, and love all of you dearly!!!! Hope everyone has had a good summer, and I promise to be in the group and send in more messages during this fall. Guest guest
I figured it was something major for you not to write. I feel for you and will be keeping you in my prayers. Are you going to need any chemo or radiation after the surgery? I had my thyroid removed on July 30th and we are still trying to get the medications right for the replacement. I might have to have more surgery on my toes later this year to fix several hammertoes. Getting old is expensive isn't it. But it beats the alternatives. Stay safe and know the group will be in our good hands.
