Okay, that's it for now. If you have comments or suggestions we're opening the floor for discussion. Is this enough? Too much? Are we missing something? Please let us know.........we want you all to be happy and comfortable here.

Janet,

Glad to hear you had a good visit with the Hartmanns. Sounds like a plan

about the list topic limits- I will try to abide.

day trip to Minnesota. We drove almost 4 hours to Gibbon - a little town

northwest of Mankato - to visit with Mike and Diane Hartman of Mom's Dairy.

We spent about 4 hours with Mike today, as he showed us his on the farm

dairy plant, and taught us all kinds of wonderful things about butter and

yogurt. We're very excited about our visit and can't wait to implement some

changes here in how we process our butter and yogurt.

I'm not

trying to confuse you here, but I do think we need to set up some kind of

guidelines for the list topics. When RawDairy was first created Wayne and I

weren't real sure of which direction we wanted it to go. I guess we figured we

would see what kind of people joined and how the posts went.

just to keep things flowing smoothly. If any of you have problems with these

limits, please speak up and let us know. We'll take it slow at first, and then

will

make the limits more permanent and post them on a regular (weekly?) basis

so all new members will know what to expect.

aspects of Raw Dairy Products, such as: Milk, Cream, Yogurt, Kefir, Butter,

Buttermilk, etc. For producers and for consumers this can mean anything from

producing these products, recipes, how to, ideas, packaging, breeds of cows,

etc. to benefits and risks of consuming, transporting, etc.

producers - though the Weston A. Price Foundation is the perfect place to start

for finding raw dairy, we can also step in and help those that can't find help

on

the topic of raw dairy or the raw dairy movement.

all,

we're all here for pretty much the same reason aren't we? We believe in raw

dairy!!!

anyway.

someone specifically asks.

I just want to say that I have learned more from the posts in this group

then from the W.A.P. group. I'm not sure if that's because there hasn't been

alot of posts but I REALLY appreciated the information here. Maybe if there

is some of us that would like to discuss nutrition too, that we could take

the discussion over to the W.A.P. group?

Just a suggestion! :-)

Sunnie,

I do believe nutrition would be a very big factor of list discussion here, especially if it's related to raw dairy.

Hey Sunnie,

I am all up for that. Of course, if it's nutrition about raw dairy

topics (a lot of them) then it can be done here. I am on the WAPF

chapter leaders group. Is that the one you mean?

I was referring to the native_nutrition group. I guess that I belong to both

beyond price and the native nutrition group. Too many groups... ;-)
