Guest guest
Hi Belinda, I think it was Blair who originally posted the information on that on the group. Maybe you could try doing a search of the archives on the group website and it should turn up. It was like within the last month or 6 weeks (I could be off though!) It was from "The Milk Book" I believe so by W.C.s. Hope that helps! Sara Milk Diet What book is it that has the milk diet info? Or what site?Belinda To learn more about Raw Dairy, visit our home pages at http://www.midvalleyvu.com
Guest guest
Thank you Terry for further clarifying the milk diet. I really appreciate your time and knowledge. I will be getting the book. Barbara Dr. Cowan actually uses the Raw Milk diet, as of course does Dr. Ron in their practices. They have no real "exceptions" or contraindications. The Real Milk Book has a story about a guy who could eat no solid foods from a severe injury of some sort, and thrived on a Raw Milk Diet. I myself would NEVER attempt one unless it was from a completely grass-fed mixed herd. Too many chances for allergenic problems, especially if you have leaky gut. Pure Holstein milk is the last milk I would consider "healthy". It is low in fats, and the whole point is to clean out your lipids from all the junk and varnish in there from all the crzp in our food supply. And please do not ever believe thet "Organic" Ultra-Pasteurized milk is a safe substitute, because I can assure you it is not. Horizon is a multinational now. You are better off with a local dairy that doesn't use rBGH like talked about, IF you still have one. Ultra-Pasteurization kills ALL bacteria so that it will not culture at all. Organic Valley admits to it. I've discovered studies recently done that show abnormally high fungi counts in "safe" ultra-pasteurized milk. Do the diet right, or don't attempt it at all. Just heard on the news last week that regular milk is being touted as an anti-cancer health food!!! Don't believe it unless you have the REAL thing. --Terry
Guest guest
Terry, I've been drinking milk for a long time and it has never bothered me. No sugar problem as far as I know. Been drinking kefir regularly but when I started on just milk the kefir didn't taste good any longer. Don't understand it at all but just couldn't get it down. Never was all that fond of it to begin with but this was just awful. I'll put up some more kefir today after milking and see how it tastes tomorrow. Am also going to lay low for a day or two to see if that helps. Have to do some chores, never been able to get the goats trained to milk themselves<G>, but going to laze around the house today. Thanks for your input, Belinda In a message dated 3/14/2004 5:05:40 AM Central Standard Time, RawDairy writes: Belinda-- That's a classic case of "crashing". Do you have a blood sugar problem? If not, you must be allergic to the milk sugars and have to make kefir instead. I would leave the kefir grains in there a day or two longer than normal, to break down the fat, while you're at it, just in case you're allergic to that too. The fats break down last. When they used to use this diet alone with such great success, prior to WW2, realize we all lived in a much less Toxic World than we do now. This is why we need the practical experiences of everyone to thoroughly understand how to use it again today. Allergies develop from many of the modern foods and drugs we ingest. People with egg allergies probably got it from a vaccine program.... they grow the spliced cultures on a medium of eggwhite. --Terry
