Guest guest
<< Yes, there are definitely days when I have to force myself to workout! >> Thanks ! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has 'off' days. Most days I just force myself to do it, and I'm always glad that I did. I guess with any kind of exercise there will be days when you're body 'just says no'! LOL!

I'm doing better this week, but I just wondered if those of you > who work out 6 or 7 days a week ever have to force yourself to do it. > , Yes, there are definitely days when I have to force myself to workout! It's funny that you mentioned this now because it's actually been really hard for me to workout a lot of days lately! One reason is like you, my legs feel like lead weights. I guess it's from the tb tv workouts and the different muscles they are working....but for the past 2 weeks I've been really sore and it doesn't ever seem to go away. I have taken off 2 days each week for the past 2 weeks, only working out 5 days a week each of those weeks. So, yes.....there are days I don't feel like working out and I have to push myself to do it! I've just been trying to listen to my body and see if I really need the day off or whether I can work through the soreness. Lately, it's seemed like I really needed the extra day off....so, I've taken the extra day off! We all get into a rut sometimes. But, even on an " off " day of tae-bo....it's still better than my best days doing any other type of exercise....LOL!

But my brain doesn't seem to realize that at 5:30 in the morning. I also try to tell myself that I will feel much better if I get up and do the workout. Now this doesn't always work, twice this week already the snooze alarm won. But my resolve is as long as I keep trying to get up and make it through at least 4 work outs a week I have accomplished something and that's better than nothing. I have weeks where I do my work outs 6 times a week, but I try not to get to critical if I only do 4 work outs. Anything is better than sitting on the couch. I lost another pound. It's great I was so depressed two weeks ago when I found this site and through everyone's inspiration I have found that little extra and now I am getting my results. Thanks everyone, you are so encouraging. I finally took a moment and went through the member listing, now I have some faces to go with all your names. I don't think I will get to any live tappings living in Michigan, but I will be sure to look for you on the live tapings. Your inspiration and kind words are always appreciated. Thanks, hugs. Guest guest
<< It is sometimes better to skip the work-out on such a day, knowing tomorrow you will feel better, than do it and have a crummy time that may damper your spirits towards your next work-out. Remember it is better to work-out with intensity every other day than do an exercise daily walking thru the motions without your full intensity >> Thanks Barb. I will keep that in mind. One morning I was working out at 5am and stopped because I didn't feel that I was giving it my best effort (my body just wouldn't wake up! LOL!) I sit at a desk for 8 hours and stare at a computer screen most of that time and by the time I get home, I'm more mentally tired than physically tired. On those days, I need to make myself just do it.

I really get p**d off with myself when I don't do it. I just wish I could get up early and workout, like some of you here do, but I tried last week and it just doesn't seem to suit me I end up feeling so tired instead of it 'waking me up'. Guest guest
I couldn't do the early thing either at first and dead on my feet could better describe it, but I had to cause Hubby went on days and he goes to bed way too early. Now it's the only thing that wakes me up. The point however is not when you do the exercise but that you do it. I have worked out both in the evening and now early morning (there should be a law about getting up too early) And I just feel great. I actually did a whole 50 of al#3 this moring. I would have done the whole hour if time would have permitted but there's always soemthing. I am just proud of myself for making it through a whole 50 minutes. Congrats on your up coming wedding. Enjoy yourself!!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend- Doing Hubbys surprise birthday party tonight he's turning the big 40. > <<I sit at a desk for 8 hours and stare at a computer screen most of that > time and by the time I get home, I'm more mentally tired than physically > tired.
