Trace levels of legionella sp can be found in most municipal water supplies but this was never mentioned. There was also little mention of the method of contracting an infection (inhalation of vapour). Legionella can and is appropriately managed by disinfection of warm water systems and ensuring hot water is hot enough to provide sterilisation.
