Guest guest
Deb, It is frustrating to have to fill out SSA forms, gather doctors' records, copy, copy, copy everything when you feel, possibly, worse than ever before. But, if you didn't feel this bad, you might not do the work to get financial help and health care. You might hope to feel better tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. Lots of people filling out SSA/SSDI forms believe telling SSA all they are doing will help them. Not true. SSA rewards disability benefits based on your being unable to work reliably for at least 6 months and in the near future. It's important to let SSA know all the ways you have to change up what you do in order to do it. My sister was denied over and over again by clinging to the belief trying to be normal counts with SSA. Again, not true. Finally, my sis found a 4th SSA lawyer who explained telling SSA all she was doing (because she was proud of what she could do) was reason to deny her SSI disability. My sister won disability with her 4th lawyer. He instructed her to write about all the ways she accommodated her situation in order to do anything. For instance, yes, she made dinner, but, only by sitting at the kitchen table, walking cut up food to stove then immediately sitting again. toni > I am using an attorney but it was essay questions that took me > forever and my husband even had a packet of question of what he sees > me do.! > DebbieG > > > > > ________________________________ > > Debbie, It is worth your while to find someone professional to do > all of that.
