Guest guest
I have seen ABA in action when I worked in a preschool. I have watched children become interactive little preschoolers instead of stimming in the corner. Is it for everyone? Who knows. I think if it were, then that would be the 'answer' how to help our kids. MY VIEW: Everyone is entitled to thier own opinions on what works and doesn't work for their child. It is your child and it is your choice what to do. JUST MY OPINION. My son, 9 yrs, has PDD-NOS, is having a horrible time with making a choice. If I ask questions like " what do you want for supper " he can usually give me an answer. If I ask if he wants fish or chicken, he can not make a decision. We were at a fair and he had to choose between a couple of prizes, and he couldn't do it. Anything that requires a choice being made, he falls apart and starts crying and saying he doesn't know what to do. He has always had some trouble with this, but now it is severe, to the point that he falls apart if I ask him any choices. (Nothing new in our lives, nor any changes in meds.) Any ideas how to help would be appreciated. -mom to Damin 9 PDD-NOS, GAD, probable FG Syndrome
