Guest guest
Kids with speech and language delays, autism, PDD and such conditions are very often very strong visually and learn readily from pictures. Printed flashcards are expensive to buy and time-consuming to make. With the falling costs of computers and printers, the trend is moving away from buying printed flashcards and printing your own at home. TIP: My advice to anyone who plans to do a lot of color printing is to get a printer that will print photo-quality onto ordinary (photocopy) paper as a lot of printers require special (expensive) paper to print photoquality images. My choice is the Hewlett Packard Deskjet 930C but there are other good printers. The Flash! Pro2 CD-ROM is used by parents, therapists and early intervention schools in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia to produce quality pictures to stimulate speech and language in children. This CD-ROM contains over 8500 color photo images that you can print from a PC (Windows 95 or higher) to a color printer. You can view dozens of samples at the website.
