Guest guest
Diane, My edition of Nourishing Traditions says 110 degrees--it's also the second edition. Bad printing?! I've never had any trouble with Ms. Fallon's yogurt recipe, although it is runnier than the commercial stuff. My kids like it better, actually. Guest guest
Diane, There are 2 ways of making yogurt - with heating it 180F/pasteurizing the milk or with raw milk. 110 F just warms the milk. Sally listed both methods. I don't have the book but have seen it. I think the book I saw had both methods listed. Marieta > Thanks for all the great information on this subject. Here's my question: > mention is made of Sally Fallon suggesting that the milk be heated to 110. > In the yougurt recipe in my edition (second edition) of Nourishing > Traditions says to heat the milk to 180 degrees. Perhaps there's a section > in her book that I've missed on this subject; or perhaps there's a typo in > my edition? > > Diane
