Guest guest
Yes, Whole Foods carries Kerrygold. I lived in Arlington from Sept. '02 to July '03 and am now back in my hometown, so here's a little price comparison for one package of Kerrygold butter: Whole Foods in Arlington, Virginia: $3.59 Whole Foods in Madison, Wisconsin: $3.99 (!) Safeway (supermarket) in Arlington, Virginia: $2.99 Magic Mill, small health grocery in Madison, Wisconsin: $2.75 Most big supermarkets don't carry it. I have no idea why it's so expensive at the WF here because food is cheaper here than in DC. Let me know how much you see it for. I've been eating Organic Valley cultured butter for months because it's been on sale at my coop. I'm not happy with the taste and am going to buy Kerrygold next time. I've tried a couple of cultured butters and have not been pleased. But since a culture is involved, there's potential for a lot of variation in taste, so I haven't given up yet. Just gotta find the right bacteria for me. I can't wait to tour Ireland...hopefully in the next few years!
