Guest guest Posted March 20, 2003 Report Share Posted March 20, 2003 Hi again, thought I'd say how things went over the weekend and with the pain Dr on Monday. I did end up tearing something, but managed to hold it together until Monday. The appointment with consultant was awful. It started badly when he was trying to talk me into using a TENS machine I'D tried for 2 months with al sorts of pads. Then he went on that I've got to manage this myself. And to top it all he said that as I'm 33 he doesn't want to put me on medication for the rest of my life. Sometimes I wish they'd read the notes and see I take medication already! Grrrrrrr! But, I guess things could have been worse. . I could have had to spend the week in bed completely spaced out on benzodiazepines. (I know I'm being to optimistic but it's one of the ways I cope. By trying to see one good thing in every day). I just want to say thanks for the really warm welcome I've had from everyone. I'm off - I don't think I'm going to make sense for much longer.
