Guest guest
" Rock Iron Steel " by Steve Justa. Justa is a strongman who lifts bulky items such as 450 pound barrels. He built his strength initially by working hard labor, but went on an intensive weightlifting program for 2 years where he doubled his strength in lifting weights. There was no carry over to his other strength activities ,however, as there had been no increase in his ability to lift heavy bales bales of hay. Then remembering the training of Bruce Lee he started training with isometrics exclusively for 3 months and after that period found that he had increased his functional strength and ability to lift hay bales by 40%. His book introduces the concept of " aerobic isometrics " [intensities as low as 35% with holds of up to 3 minutes] It is a great read and may give you some new ideas to try with your Bullworker as it did me.
