Guest guest
Hey Dale, Glad you introduced yourself! How ever did you know I was fixing on calling up my bird dog "Daisy" and go flushing out more members lurking on this list?! You members who've been here and haven't gotten around to introducing yourself, how about it? We'd sure love to hear from you! When I get back in town and to my high-speed internet access after the weekend, you can bet I will be back to combing the member list! (And, no, I won't forget!) Hope your move goes smooth enough. I heard of an organic farm near East Troy, that's probably not near you. A lady who supplied me with kefir grains told me that was her source of raw milk. There are farms out there but they keep a low profile due to the state's DATCP current shenanigans. So I am sure you can find a good reputable dairy if you work at it. It may sound daunting, but you WILL find a good source! As to other products, you may want to try www.eatwild.org. I haven't checked it out much personally but it might be a start. "Bird" hunting co-moderator Sara "Daisy, get a little rest..." Introduction Hello. I've been lurking for quite awhile and figured I would finallyintroduce myself. I bought NT a couple months ago and am trying to start downa NT diet and am attracted to the idea of making my own butter and cultureddiary products. I've been living in Madison for the past 6 months, but willmove to Appleton the end of this month. I've been hesitant about finding a rawmilk supplier in this area as I have always felt that my stay in Madison wastemporary. I am, however, buying a home in Appleton and expect to be there forawhile and am now on the look out for a dairy farm in that area where I may beable acquire certified raw milk. I'm not a larger consumer of milk, less thana quart and maybe closer to a pint a week, and am more interested in makingcultured milk products, whey, buttermilk, butter, creme fresh, etc...There are two dairies listed on the WAP web site in DePere, does anybody haveany experience with them or know of a contact in the Appleton area that couldpoint me in the right direction? While I'm asking, does anybody know of aplace in that area to buy organic vegetables and free range/grass fed meats?-- Dale
Guest guest
This seems to be very common among thinkers of outside-of-the-box, feeling isolated. I have had many discussions with my mother about not having friends because of this. I thank god for my wonderful husband, wonderful mother, and my precious children! They will have this information engrained in them from the start. Yah!!
