Guest guest
Barbara, I am not feeling well today, but when I do I will email you the numbers of the Ag.Depts in some of the states where it is legal. You can call them and get the web addresses for their laws. Barbara wrote: > Hi guys. Hi Suze. I forwarded the information you gave me to Ms Krome. Dr. Ron was so kind as to give me her phone number when I ordered his book this afternoon. Unfortunately, I also sent Ms. Krome the Supplemental Report to her before I found out about the inaccuracies. Pray that the helpful parts will stand out and the inaccuracies will not. Thanks to all for their help. Janet, we're pulling for you guys! You are not alone in this battle. Poco a poco se van lejos! (Little by little they go far!) Guest guest
Hey guys, There aren't that many inaccuracies in the milk report. Maybe one or two. But the right stuff flies off the page! It is a brilliant piece of work and research. I always use it. And that is why I firmly recommend it. I am glad you sent it to her Barbara. After all, it DID persuade the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors even with their health department fighting it tooth and nail. Here is the link to it again, which I wholeheartedly encourage everyone on this list to click to and read! It will give you lots of good information. http://www.karlloren.com/aajonus/p15.htm Barbara wrote: > Animal Health and Industry, Division of > 28 State House Station Deering Bldg - AMHI Complex > Augusta, ME 04333-0028 > > Doak, Director > > .Doak@s... Guest guest
There is one glaring inaccuracy that any of you who choose to use the Supplemental Report should be aware of. The report states in several places, in no uncertain terms, that no one ever got sick from drinking raw milk. This is a ridiculous claim, and those of you who read my book will fully understand this. There is no question about the fact that shabbily produced raw milk historically caused considerable illness and still occasionally causes illness today. Making the claim to legislators that all raw milk is inherently safe totally misleads them and will ultimately backfire; they will figure out sooner or later that it is a false claim. Yes, the LA County Board of Supervisors narrowly voted in favor of raw milk…I would say in spite of the inaccuracies; the politics behind the supplemental report were considerably stronger than the science. But only two farms in all of California may sell raw milk, because of licensing difficulties, including harassment by officials and high fees. Twenty-five million people, two farms. Not exactly a model situation. Redemsky has produced an excellent and accurate brochure that summarizes the many good points the supplemental report made and goes much further, succinctly explaining the importance of grass feeding and touching on Weston Price’s work. Her brochure is reasonably priced and may be ordered directly from her in Massachusetts, at . I suggest that any of you who want something short to give to legislators use ’s brochure. Guest guest
, I just read over my posting about the problems with the supplemental report and I realize that I seemed to pretty blatantly disagree with you there. I hope you don’t take offense, I didn’t mean it to put down what you had said but my posting sort of read that way. Of course you are right that the Supplemental Report IS full of outstanding information which is incredibly useful, and I’m sure that it has been a very useful tool for you and many others in many ways. I just felt that it was important to point out the one problem that I did. Happy Free-Range Turkey Day! Guest guest
Hey Dr. Ron, You are so great! Thank you for being sensitive to that, but I wasn't offended at all. In fact, I appreciate that reference to the summarization of the report. I am going to get it from her. I didn't even know it existed and am grateful to know about it. As you know I am dealing with legislators in Tn and it will be useful, as the report is lengthy. Good to have the important points taken out and highlighted. Anyway, no problem. I have much affection for you and your work! Many blessings to you and yours, Happy Thanksgiving as well. Guest guest
, when you do order it, could you either e-mail me or make a post stating the price she's selling it at? I may be interested in ordering it myself. I'm also curious how long it is and what format it is (e.g. all text, scientific study-style or directed more to the layperson with photos etc.). Thanks! Guest guest
Hey Tom, Just talked to Redemsky about her brochures. She has one big brochure that is even longer than the supplemental report itself. I don't think that's the one we want. The other one she has is her own " Milk brochure. " It is 16 1/2 by 9 (pretty large) but she describes it as a 4-panel brochure. It is more of a summary I believe. She said 25 of those brochures are $7.50 (includes shipping) and 50 of them are $12. If you want to call her and ask more detail her number is . I'm still thinking about it. Guest guest
Personally, I am more interested in the big long brochure. I can see the others being ideal for handing out to people who don't know anything about raw milk, but for my personal edification and for giving to gov't authorities, the more in-depth it is, the better. Thanks for letting me know! Tom > > > > > , when you do order it, could you either e-mail me or make a post > > > stating the price she's selling it at?
