Parag 1980 Dr Sarita continues to be critical As per discussions with Dr Jyoti, MGIMS alumnus Neurologist here in Medanta, Dr Sarita continues to be in a critical state, on ventilator with fluctuating Blood Pressures. Repeat CT scans show no increase in the Hemorrhage but it is a large bleed involving almost whole of the Pons and part of medulla. I wish for her recovery.. Guest guest
I could never ever imagine that MGIMS group would be so well knit ,even at needy hours after almost 20 years ! It was 12th evening when I received a call from one of the cardiologist that a ventillated patient is being shifted for higher treatment under me. At 11:30pm I first met Dr Sarita Verma Kathuria in ICU. She was received from another hospital on ventillator. My contact with Dr Kathuria for last 2 years was just that he would refer Neurology patients to me from time to time. I didnt know he was MGIMS alumnus. It was only yesterday when Dr Khera called me to convey that Kathuria are MGIMS alumus couple!! Her first CT scan at Medanta shows a large Ponto-medullary haemorrhage with Hydrocephalus. She underwent Ommaya reservoir immediately. Her fluctuating BP is now stabilised. Repeat CT today shows good resolution of Hydrocephalus, though the size of bleed remains the same. Family is informed as and when required. Never ever I could imagine that alumus of MGIMS would one day treat another one. In fact family which includes her daughter who too is through her internship, after knowing that I am from MGIMS have relaxed a lot . I remember Dr Kathuria saying " Madam ,I am Dr AP Jain's student,75 batch " . I replied I am " Dr Jajoo's from 91 batch " To this he added, " then I need not worry about anything as you have teaching from MGIMS " My frequent talking and easy accessibility on cell all the time is the only means of satisfaction to them. I want God to help us all for the betterment of this patient where family is suffering since a week now.
