I'm trying to track down the cause of my chronic back and abdominal pain since my gastric bypass in April 2002. I've been to so many specialists and undergone so many tests with no prognosis. I just don't have the energy to fight anymore. Is there a place I can go that provides some type of patient advocate help on an individual basis? In the Chicago area? I just keep going to one specialist after another, and none of them really seem to care a whole lot about helping me find the cause of the pain. Isn't there anyone out there in the medical community that really cares about helping those patients with unusual problems? I haven't found one yet. How sad. Thanks for any guidance you have.
