Here's the path I've followed: - Read the book Loving What Is, by Byron Kathleen . It's available from most book outlets (amazon.com, Borders, & Noble, etc.) - Discover my uninvestigated stories by writing Judge Your Neighbor worksheets and writing down random judgements I've believed. - Investigate my stories using the four questions. - Post my Work here on the list for feedback and encouragement. - Attend a Weekend Intensive with . - In June, I'm planning to attend the School for the Work in Stamford, Connecticut, US. also conducts the School on the US west coast and in Europe. > SO I may achieve ....uncomditional love a wonderful notion HOWEVER > hard to practice . What I've noticed is that unconditional love is not something I can achieve once and for all. I experience moments of unconditional love, moments of fear, moments of anger, moments of peace, moments of joy. I seem to be experiencing more moments of peace and love lately, which is wonderful, as you say. > How can I integrate ...this BELIEFS in my daily existance ? See above. > ...HOW CAN love ...deception , lies ? Although painful BUT TRUE ! I'm not understanding your question. Could you ask it again in different words? > I look forward a some wonderful feedback . I'm glad you're here, . I trust that you'll find everything you're looking for. Guest guest
Dear , You asked " ...HOW CAN love ...deception , lies ? Although painful BUT TRUE ! " Why is your thinking lying and deceiving yourself that other people should not lie to you or attempt to deceive you? Sounds as if you have everything in common with them. They lie to you and then you lie to yourself and say that " people should not lie " . As always, " the first lier does not have a chance. " , The Work is never about changing what other people do, but only about how you react to what they appear to do and noticing what is the cause of your pain. If you do what Tom suggested to you in his post, you may become more aware that it is your reaction to deceit and lies that is the cause of your suffering. When you ask the first two questions of The Work - Is it true? and Can I really know that it is true? - there are always 3 possible correct answers (Yes, No or I don't know). The Work does not require a " no " , The Work wants you to become aware of how it feels when you believe that it is true and who you would be without that belief - whatever the belief is and whether or not it is true. And then to experieince through the Turn Around how the opposite is just as true. In other words, " People should not lie to me. " could turn around to " I should not lie to me and say people should not lie to me when, of course, they do and will. " Lying is our job and we will continue to lie until you are no longer being upset by believing that we should not lie. I hope that this is helpful. More aticles and samples of the work. Order videotapes and cd:s of doing the work with people. You can order them on www.thework.org and also from a member of this group that you can find at " Files " . Guest guest
Dear , as others probably answered already, our technique is to judge a neighbour, ask four questions, and turn it around. What you will eventually experience, is that there are no problems, but for your stories, that you have everything that you want, but for your stories, and that you can experience peace from your chair. You don't create beliefs, you just undo the ones that arise. That's all there is to do, anyway: to believe them or to undo them. If you shut them up, they will come back.
