Guest guest
I think the weather plays a big role in my pain too. I live in CT near the shore, so it is often damp even when not raining. We got hit with a lot of rain this week too. Fortunately we are about to dry out and be warm. Barbara S > > I haven't been on much guess I have been feeling pretty good lately. I am in Massachusetts and we are getting hit with some horrible rain and the pain I am in today is aweful. Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be better to have a little bit of pain every day than to feel good and then get hit with this major pain, it is almost unbearable. When I feel so good I fool myself I feel like the doctors have misdiagnosed me they got it wrong, and then it hits. Baam, my hip hurts and down my leg aches so bad walking is a chore, my head feels like a time bomb today. I just want to crawl into bed and not get out. But unfortunately the world does not stop for us, we still need to get up and do what is expected of us, put a smile on my face. I try to use the old saying fake it till you make it. Thanks for listening. > > Barbara in Mass. >
Guest guest
I too am in Massachusetts--(western) my cousin in the Berkshires had a 100 year old tree take out the whole 2 floor of her house---this wind and rain is crazy stuff. The weather has been crazy every -where--last summer we only had 2 weeks of sunshine and it was rainy or cloudy for most of the Summer. Barbara I used to feel like you too--''maybe its gone?''until the next flare up came. I strongly agree with your feeling of wanting to be at some constant level of pain instead of the ups and downs. Thats what I just couldn't take the dips and dives of medications etc... When I went on the Kadian(lowest dose) thats what I got because it is time released ..Every 12 hours I take one pill-- there is no high at all. I am at a low level of pain and I stay there pretty much all the time. For me it makes the pain more acceptable on a day to day basis- and I can have a different type of life than when I was in SEVERE pain 10+ 24/7 Now it is mostly a 4 on a scale of 1-10--I still have flares but they seem further apart as well......keep writing--you sound like a nice lady....I am new and sure everyone here thinks I am crazy by now LOL....Lynn > I haven't been on much guess I have been feeling pretty good lately. Guest guest
Barbara I also had 6 days where I felt really good I sooo convinced myself it would be permanent and when it came back it was devastating! ________________________________ I think the weather plays a big role in my pain too.
