Hi Christy

I am so glad you are being careful. Did the doctor decrease your medicine?

That is a pretty hefty dose of Neurontin you are taking. I take 2400mg each

day and can't drive because of these same type of problems. I haven't lost

consciousness but sometimes I feel like I am spining off in another

direction. I believe this is caused vertigo. Unfortunately Neurontin is the

main medication that helps with the neuropathy pain I have in my legs. My

doctor said this might resolve in a few years.

I hope you are feeling better.

Dear Kaylene,

No,he did not. I have not had dizziness till the

nortriptylne was added. Nuerontin is the first drug

that has helped me. I have a shingle like sensitivity

and it has helped cut down on that as well as giving

me breaks in my pain cycle. When I was first put on

nuerontin I had hot flashes and a few dizzy spells but

nothing like now, this is worse. My doctor wants me to

wait a week and then get back to him if I am still

having problems.

Hi Christy

Perhaps the Nortriptyline is causing the dizziness. I understand about

neuropathic pain mine was caused by the tourniquets used on my legs during

bilateral knee replacement surgery in 2001.

There are plenty of other antidepressants that your doctor can try.

I hope you are having a good day today.

Dear Kaylene,

I am getting there, a little more focus today. As the

day wore on,yesterday, it became easier and easier to

get dizzy. I decided I had to reduce my medication by

one capsule and I did. I don't regret doing so. I

have been able today to do more work. I am not

doing processing at my job but I am able to handle

other things.
