Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am looking for doctor recommendations of all kind in the DC metropolitan area (DC or land). I basically need recommendations for a primary care physician/internist, pain specialist, orthopedic surgeon, rheumatologist, physical therapy programs, etc. I think I'm set with other doctors (neurologist & neurosurgeon) but am open to suggestions. I hate picking doctors blindly. Thus, if anyone has any suggestions, I greatly appreciate them. I live in DC, near a metro (red line). Thanks in advance for your time! Happy holidays, and may you all have a joyous, fulfilling, and healthy (to the fullest extent possible) 2004!
Guest guest
Hi, we live in Gaithersburg and I can try to refer you to some of the people I've been happy with. You can email me privately as I don't think I'm supposed to name docs here. Suzanne kellnsuz@...
Guest guest
Extraneous Text deleted by Moderator > HI ... I just moved here from land ( Dc Subs) this June. Before I moved I was seeing Dr, Wenz at Bayview Medical center in Balt. He is very good and also very pain aware. He is also head of the Ortho dept at Hopkins Bayview. He is also an AVN ( Avascular Necrosis) specialist and Minimal Invasive surgery pioneer. I really liked him and his bedside manner was very good. I never had surgery but did have visits with him as a referral from my Doctor in Easton where I lived. You might give him a call and see if you can get in to see him or with Kaiser, you will probably have to get a referral form your primary doc.. Hope that helps.. Everyone have a wonderful Holiday! ... Ask them for 2 or 3 and then ask who they would send a loved one to. Kaylene _________________________________________________________________ Worried about inbox overload? Guest guest
Hello there, I am also interested in doctors in the DC/MD/VA area. My doctor moved a few months ago to Wisconsin for another job. He was very open minded, and prescribed pain meds for my chronic pain (I had tried everything, and the patch and percocets were the only things that seemed to work). He referred me to another doctor; whom I saw once, and he kept me on the same doses, but wants to see me once per year (and continue on the same meds). My tolerence has increased, but I didn't speak of this with the new doctor, as I met him only once and was worried that he would take me off the meds completely. He seems pretty good though. He works at GWU hospital, and has about 12 patients on pain meds. He sees each person once per year, and gives them a script (to be picked up at the hospital) once per month. My insurance will pay for meds for 90 days (less copay). And he seems cool about this. I would like names of back up doctors; and am willing to give out my doc's name off the list.
