Guest guest
Interesting. Sure is my kind of med school. I'd LOVE that kind of interaction! That one SHOULD be an anesthesiologist...from the ones I've met they rank as the biggest group of doctor jerks I've met. And usually rude too.... -- Broaders STOP THE PAIN! www.rsdresearch.com chris@...

Guest guest
, I hear what your saying. In my adventures trying to get diagnosed and taken care of I had 17 hospital visits in 7 months--I was told many things: You have chronic pain, live with it. The x-rays show nothing must be stress or anxiety. You are making this up in your head. I actually had a doctor FIRE me for getting a second opinion. Then, I found a doctor who said he was in over his head and sent me to the University of Chicago where it took them 2 minutes to tell me I had abdominal adhesions and scheduled me for surgery. The relief lasted about a month, and now I have more adhesions. But, I found a great pain specialist who put pain control in my hands, God Bless him. I am not pain free but it lingers at about a 3. This is a chronic condition and in all likelihood I will have to have more surgery for a bowel obstruction somewhere down the line. Which will cause more adhesions, but at least someone finally HEARD me and found a way to treat it. What a pain in the butt. My mom was 83 and suffered with pain in her left hip for @ 3 months when the doc asked my brother if he ought to do an MRI--ASKED MY BROTHER!!!!! My brother basicaly asked him what he was waiting for????? THe MRI indicated the hip was broken but not dislocated. She had been walking on a fractured hip for 3 months with nothing but Anaprox for her pain'! Not a thing showed up on the X Ray so this Einstein did nothing to look further or to help her with her pain. Still-- next broken bone, all he wanted to prescribe for her was Darvocette--for a broken femur! What is the world coming ot when all an elderly eprson can get for a broken bone is Darvocette or an NSAID???? And to deny meds for anxiety--no wonder little old ldies are so anxious when no one wants to help them with what is bothering them?? Sorry. Just had to vent. I spose I'm thinking about being one of those little old ladies in the not too distant future. Susam
