UTI is a bladder or urine tract infection, correct? I know I have had

several of those " infections " over the years, my mom is prone to this as well,

it

runs in the family, my mom and I just seem to be more prone to them. I have

always been successfully treated for them only this time (if I do have this)

there is just no money to go to the clinic, I don't have medical insurance...

however when I see my orthopedist I will discus all this with him. Only he may

not be able to treat me for it because it is not " case related " My

spondylolisthesis is do to trauma to my back in a car accident so my doctor can

only

treat the " car accident " problems... he may be nice enough to test me and put it

as a " rule out " in my file... not sure how this works. If he thinks it could

be from spinal pressure (the frequent urinating and feeling of) he could test

me for a uti and like I said it could be a " rule out " .... But, he may not

want to have anything to do with it if it isn't case related. We shall see.

Usually when I have a bladder infection I have pain in my side, every single

time I have pain, there is no pain this time.... So, I do not know what it is

lol.

Thanks for replying :)

oh wow, thanks for that hon... I wrote the test down on my growing " ask the

doctor list " lol. I Can't wait to see him on the 4th... I am not going to

be as passive as I usually am with doctors but at the same time being the kind

person I usually am.

I am learning so much here!!!!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH ...

Hi , there is a spinal disorder that can cause urinary and

fecal incontinence it is called cauda equina, and basically what

happens is the nerves controlling that portion of the body are

affected and must be corrected. That would be a diagnoses the ortho

could treat. Go ahead and look it up to see if that diagnoses is a

possibliity.

God Bless,

Daphne

You included spondylitis in your diagnosis of your first post with your

problems. If that is the case, spondylitis can be triggered by a stressful event

and also it does include bladder problems for some of us. An orthopdeic surgeon

might not know this though as I went to one for years with problems that were

related and he didn't do any tests which might rule out or rule in anything

related to bladder problems. If there is a problem with diagnosing this why

don't you ask him to do a test for HLAB27 and then go from there, unless he has

already done so.

>>>> What does the HLA B27 show for spinal problems? The only thing I was

aware of was an arthritic condition ankylosing spondylitis. I'm a positive

hla-b27 person. But they never found any other black and white proof to say I

have it. Plus it's rare in females, and I'm a female :)
