Guest guest Posted July 31, 2011 Report Share Posted July 31, 2011 It is touching and saddening to see human beings being reduced to animalistic behaviour...... but it appears to be commonplace in India accepted by both the perpetrators and victims. It is always interesting to watch crowd behaviour around the world. The Royal wedding in London took place a couple of months ago with it being broadcast all over the world. The streets of London were packed but no jostling or pushing to be seen. All the police had to do was - be present. Could we expect the same if there was a similar congregation in India? There is no condoning violence........on the other hand how do you deal with a violent mob? Is it correct to burn public property? There has to be a change in the mindset both for the general masses and people in power where humans are treated as such and there is respect for life. The sadness is that I cannot see it happening in our lifetimes.
