Sounds like it's been a real moving experience for you there .... sorry couldn't help myself, it was screaming to be said. ;-) On a side note with Metamucil: My vet recommended it for my puppy when he was constipated. Never knew a rottie could like Orange flavored Metamucil that much. One really cool side effect of it, it make his coat super shiny and soft. Guess now that the dr. put me on Endocet and I'm having the same problem, maybe I'll have to give it a try now too. If you don't mind my asking? I have RSD and have been trying to find something that would take the pain down on the really bad days! Thank you in advance. Guest guest Posted January 20, 2004 Report Share Posted January 20, 2004 I was excited to find metamucil in capsules - you get the same amount of fiber but you swallow it in a capsule with 8 ounces of water instead of having to drink the mixed up stuff. It seems to work the same way. It's just one more capsule I swallow during the day - no mixing and no bad taste(personally I don't care for the flavor of metamucil or citrucel). Guest guest Posted January 21, 2004 Report Share Posted January 21, 2004 I use prescription Laculose, it is real sweet, i mix it with soda, or juice. It helps. It breaks it every time... Bare in mind I'm on two strong narcotics... MS Contin 60mgs two to three times a day, and Dilaudid 4 mgs (total) up to 5 times a day... at least 3 lately.
