TV last night so I ended up watching about 3 minutes of it. That was all I could

stand. It consisted of video footage shot secretly over 6 weeks by an

infiltrator into a typical factory hog operation. It was sickening beyond belief

and I was haunted by the images all night.

just below orangutans and dolphins, in other words smarter than dogs, cats,

horses or other farm animals, For this reason alone the confinement cages and

farrowing crates are cruel beyond any reason. No animal whatsoever, even plants,

should be subjected to the ignorant abuse shown on this factory farm though!

Food raised with outright hatred not love!

ways, I just hope it's not the kind of heavy-handedness that causes people to be

even more calloused and even more in full food denial. Many watchers will

probably and erroneously assume that ALL livestock operations are like this and

veer more towards full-blown vegetarian diets rather than towards local,

free-range, sustainable, humane meats.

I did not view the show; however, our observation(s) deduce people are slipping

further into " full food denial " as you referenced. We actually had a friend

tell us, " We know it's the right diet, but it takes a real commitment. " What is

life but a commitment to truth, right living, and caring for these bodies we

should not just use but actually cherish?

My further observation is people are so calloused they don't care what is done

in animal care/slaughter. And, unfortunately, the Vegans gain the " I told you

so " attitude.

Living testimonials of WPF healthy folks will be a lighhouse to the ones who

want the truth.

Hats off to you for sounding the alarm.

When they spout off about it, remind them that their precious tofu is

responsible for the deaths of millions of butterfly larvae, beneficial insects,

spiders, small birds and so on, all of which took shelter in the soybean fields

prior to the combine mowing it all down. That is, assuming the fields were not

heavily sprayed and thus killing the critters anyhow.

Humans *are* dumb, no argument from me.

I have seen that footage (or footage like that) and much more in a film

called Earthlings<http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6361872964130308142>.

It truthfully and clearly depicts how animals are *mostly* used and abused

in this world for food, entertainment, pets and research. It is sickening

and heart breaking beyond imagination. The film is not for the faint-hearted

and I would say only for those that are ready to see how insane (or asleep

may be a better word) the people of this planet really are.

I don't really care what " message " is intended by the film (or the footage

Will referenced). My feeling is that truth is truth and mature people can

see this. In my opinion, there isn't a right and wrong in these arenas, only

becoming conscious. If someone wants to use film to shove their version of

what everyone else should be doing speaks to their immaturity and lack in

understanding freedom, but the truth remains and I applaud the filmmaker for

that effort and overlook it's possible preachiness. I don't actually eat

meat and am mostly vegan but *I don't mind that others aren't*, even one

bit. I just know that what I do comes from my own thorough and thoughtful

research and contemplation and I give others that same freedom of mind.

That's what I like about this list, people are thoughtful and have actually

looked into things so I learn a great deal by seeing what others are sharing

about their own discoveries. (btw - I don't eat tofu cuz it's VERY bad for

you [?])
