Guest guest
Today, I speak my truth and nothing but the truth. I used to not speak any of my candor or my faults to anyone. I was so afraid to hurt anyone's feelings that I stuffed down the things I needed to say. My fear was if people got to truly see who I was, then they surely would not like what they saw and they would drop me like a hot potato. I didn't consider the fact that my silence was harming all of my relationships. Now that I know I am worthy of saying what I need to say, and I have learned to say it with compassion and love (at least most of the time), I have learned to speak up for myself. The trick is to combine consideration for others with genuineness for myself. Compassion and truth. A powerful recipe for building self-esteem.
