Well, we wound up with just a few flurries here, but we are still expecting some

today possibly. My hubby is still trying to make it home! It has taken him two

days just to drive through Missouri and Arkansas because the ice on the roads is

so bad. He told me last night, that he had a block of ice form on his back

wheels that he keeps trying to break away. Hopefully, he will be home today.

We are extremely spoiled here in my part of Texas. Normally, we wear T-shirts

and shorts on Christmas day, so we definately are not used to all this cold

weather!

To add to my country and western song.....The refridgerator is definately on the

fritz and now I have the kid's cold, so that is going to make for a lovely

Christmas! LOL

Sometimes, that can seem like a hard thing to do when you feel that

everything is crumbling around you, but if you look hard, you will find

humor in it all!

Saturday evening, I told my children that " NO MATTER WHAT " , Sunday

morning we would be attending church! (we have missed the past couple of

weeks) 15 minutes after I said that, I was cuddling up with my 8 yr old,

and discovered that he was running fever! The entire night was filled

with fever dreams and I was totally out of Tylenol! Sunday morning, I

realized that the Christmas Season was officially here, because my kids

are ALWAYS sick on Christmas! Tim began coughing and Garrett's fever

continued to rise! Today, I was planning on finishing my Christmas

shopping....well, I obviously can not Christmas shop with two sick kids,

so.....I am thinking about making candy instead! Oh yeah, and my husband

is stuck in Michigan and will probably get snowed in! But....all this

will pass....Garrett's fever will eventually go away...Tim can't

possibly cough forever, and my husband will, hopefully, be home for

Christmas!

If you can't make lemonaid, make candy instead!
