As one who generally goes straight to Yahoo Mail, I miss the full aspect of the BW site. It appears to be very functional and diverse. I have reset my favorite list so when I come for the messages, I go to the club site.

We are listed in search engines and I am sure with a little savvy from others in the know, we could improve upon that.

The main concern as I review this is: fine tuning the Files section and making sure there is adequate storage space for future growth.

Perhaps the most telling fact is there are only two Moderators, Tony and Rich, which shows who really supports the infrastructure of the group. And while most of us are hesitant to commit to being a moderator (even if we did possess the temperament to be one) it is an area where help could be greatly appreciated. As India is being recognized as a major player in the production of BW and is exactly 12 hours difference than the USA, it would be logical and a great addition to have an Indian moderator join the group. Australia is in the mix also. And the UK completes the 24 hour cycle for coverage. Japan makes a great product and a little bi-lingual posting from them would be great. While there is responsibility with such a position, we have been fortunate to have had excellent leadership in deciding controversial issues that have presented on the forum... even to the extent of ending the topic. This is the fine line excellent leadership provides and is always the greatest challenge to continue. As a USA based group, it is obvious English is the most appreciated language, thereby generating responses. I have never read any disparaging replies from obvious bi-lingual postings... they speak one more language than I do. Enough said.

When one looks at the traffic and diversity of topics, it could be time to tweak the files so reference topics can be easily located and files are up to date and easy to view AND download. Maybe this is already in place... maybe not... Time for "technos" to speak up. I know our "Files" are greatly appreciated for their content and availability.

Another easy improvement that can be made is to be specific in the title of the "SUBJECT" post... adding 1 or 2 words to help identify your message. Just clicking reply and going off in a new direction, does not help those of us trying to catch up. It is always overwhelming when one stays away for weeks at a time and then returns to 100 messages. Specific subject titles help sort through the catch up. I have found 100+ new messages in my box and catching up is challenging.

Anyway, it is easier to throw hand grenades, than catch them and Tony's periodic postings for info and moderators is very appropriate. As a "grenade thrower," I may ask too many questions without providing answers, and I apologize for that. Too many throwers does not promote growth, but this is a great group for separating fact from fiction. This is a great site and with a little tweaking and volunteer commitment by a few, this can be raised to a new level. Just be happy to give and satisfied with a hearty thanks from the group, even if it comes belatedly and one message at a time.

Again, my observations, and those who are not faint of heart and technologically possessed, throw your hat in the ring and try and make an improvement… just have thick skin and don't get upset when the wolves are howling at your door. It is just a forum... not a war.
