Guest guest
That is so right--to count your blessings. The day Luke was born it seemed that doctor after doctor was coming in my hospital room telling me horror stories about Downs (this was before he was tested and diagnosed as Mosaic.) I had a difficult time of it because I had BARELY made it to the hospital in time, and the only reason Luke wasn't born in the car on the way was because he was breech! My doctor didn't know he was breech, plus he was wedged in my uterus somehow and was " stuck " PLUS I was in danger of hemmorraging, so I had to have an emergency C-section with general anes. because there was no time for a spinal or epidural. So anyway, as I'm coming out of the anesthesia, groggy and in pain, the first thing I hear about my son is that he's mentally handicapped!! I didn't even get to SEE him until about 6 hours after he was born (he was in the NICU for awhile) but now that he's 2 months old and I'm feeling better, I realize how utterly blessed I am to have this little boy and God placed him with the right family because we love him more than anything.
