Guest guest
Welcome Kathy and husband. Thanks for introducing yourselves. I am so sorry to hear about the Botox. Earlier this year (or maybe last year) we had some discussions on Botox. I contacted Greg , MD and CMT expert on this and he let me know Botox is NOT for persons with CMT. I informed the group on this. Simply stated, it can make our muscles worse. Those posts are in our Archives. I am not aware of anything for CMT Botox Reversal, but will see if I can find something. Meanwhile, perhaps more 'traditional' approaches to managing CMT might help 1) get connected with a doctor who fully understands CMT 2) orthotics or AFOs for feet and legs, 3) perhaps some sort of antioxidant therapy, or other supplements, or, if your husband has CMT 1A, he may want to try Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) You can find info in our Files about that. Again, welcome to you both. I hope can be helpful for you. ~ Gretchen ( Founder and ELC)
