Guest guest
Two weeks ago I had a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis. I had not had surgery for almost three years so it was very bad. My uterus is swollen to over twice its size and although it looks ok on the inside, it is a mess on the outside...surgeon said boggy and gray. It is also attached to many other organs. I am having severe issue with the endo being on both the small and large bowel. He has given me six months to transfer our remaining two embryos and then I will need a complete hysterectomy (something I have been planning on for a long time) and bowel resection. The only reason I haven't transferred the embryos (frozen for over four years) is because of my thyroid. I am up to 90 mg Armour and feeling a little better...very slow road for me. I know my DHEA has doubled and feel pretty confident that it will be up even more at next visit with Dr. . My RE (reproductive endocrinologist) wants me to get ok from Dr. R and then proceed with transfer. I told him I haven't been able to get it to an ok level in almost three years but will see where I am at. I plan on calling Dr. R after storm is over and I am hoping and praying that they will let me tell them my situation over the phone and see what he says about proceeding with transfer soon. Also, I can not get my ferritin up no matter what (take supps and eat red meat). RE wants me to see an internal medicine/hematologist dr. in Houston. Her name is Esper. My hope is to get her to run all thryoid blood tests and then show those to Dr. R (trying to not have to fly to Lubbock). RE wonders if anything else is going on with blood. Has anyone ever had their ferritin looked at from this perspective? If so, what happened? Has anyone ever heard of Dr. Esper? Thanks. -- Cauleywww.shaneandlauracauley.blogspot.comHome Cell
