I have an aunt and a cousin who both have been diagnosed with CMTD. They have

been dealing with the disease all of their lives. Due to the lack of funds they

had / lack of Dr's knowledge of the disease, they were just recently able to

receive adequate ongoing treatment.

In order for my aunt to receive Medicaid funding, she would have to undergo

through exams (as she did). During the process of that, she was also diagnosed

with cervical cancer and is actually now being treated as a cancer patient

rather than for CMTD.

Her primary care at the current time will be for cancer. This will entail of a

simple surgery, radiation / chemotherapy treatments. We were just wanting to

know if anyone has had this kind of ordeal who can give us some insight for what

to expect that this will do for or against the CMTD. Surely they are not the

only ones to have this happen to. The Dr's just do not seem to have the

information. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
