Hello everyone. I am a 36 year old female who was recently diagnoses with CMT

and abnormal MPZ gene. I knew for some time that I had a form of neuropathy but

it was considered idiopathic. It was not until my nephew was being tested that

my neurologist decided to test me also.

My nephew is still awaiting his results to his genetic testing. He is 17 and

has cavus foot, hammer toes and high arches

I have been dealing with Chronic Lyme Disease for about 6 years with a lot of

complications that go along with it. Too many to list. ( and possibly boring

too)!

I have been told by my neurologist that our test results should be the same.

Insight?

Any information that any of you have for me would be greatly appreciated. Read a

lot on line, but honestly I feel that I should be a geneticist to understand it

all!

Layman terms would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!

Teri
