Guest guest Posted May 26, 2008 Report Share Posted May 26, 2008 Today I was outside doing a bit of gardening. When I opened one of the bags of bulbs, there was an earthworm in it. I put the worm down on the ground and it proceeded to crawl out into the open. Then I went on to dig all the holes for the bulbs and came back to do the planting. In this time, the worm had come about and was headed for the grass. At one point, I stepped over it to where it was maybe six inches or so behind my left leg. While I was planting a bulb, a bird of some kind swooped in behind me, snapped up the worm and flew off. I didn't get a good look at the bird because I figured what it was after and so didn't react to it, so as not to scare it off. Whatever it was did indeed get the worm though.
